Graduated!!
HHHmmmmmm...after some prolonged waiting,I too got my Degree !!From now,I am Muralidheran B.E CompSci(Legally)!
It was 1st April(Fool's Day),This being the 9th Convocation of Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya (Deemed University) and my first convocation whatsoever!!
Expectations were bit high and moreover the excitement was all about a big Re-union of our buddies!..Convocation was to be happened at 3pm but Surya,I,Harish and Rahul reached kanchipuram pretty early around 9.30am .An hungry ride to kanchipuram made us to have our breakfast at IYER KADAI famous for hot & scrumptious dosas and idlies .
Just being little devotional went to Kamatchi Amman Temple and street walk through kanchi lanes. It was around 11.30am, we headed to college for registration and obviously for the sake of attendance as well.Met our HOD and sugumar anna(Guru n lab-incharge) and we were done with our initial formalities when clock passed 12 noon.
SCSVMVians favourite hang out for dinner-KHALSA DHABA.Its a tiny dhaba on the highway were we students have our usual dinner. Dinner time at dhaba may extend upto 1 am too.However,this place is meant for rotties at any course of time,so we reached this place for Lunch.
Food part is done now and back to college and there were 80% of our college mates were gathered.According to me it was huge meet up after four years of college! Perhaps,there were few people who missed the convocation and we missed them badly as well.
Its time,we all gathered in our library hall-so called auditorium.We had felicitation speech from our chief guest and other college authorities.Never mind,we continued our yappings around!
HOD called out the list and when i heard my name i slowly moved onto the dais and collected my degree certificate from the chief guest.This was my first occasion where i collected something on the stage.All with a huge grin after getting certificates, we left the hall and posed outside for photo session from different cameras!
We are happy now since we never expected this occasion to be happened so early.Our college arranged for this special occasion amidst of many controversial protest for AICTE approval in deemed universities.
